In November 2009 the Hilton, Lake Taupo officially opened as the first upscale international hotel in Taupo and only the second Hilton hotel in New Zealand. Like the first Hilton Hotel on Auckland’s princess wharf, Tile Warehouse was heavily involved in supplying Quartz Vanities Stone and Porcelain Tiles. With 113 deluxe guest rooms, suites and apartments, the Hilton Lake Taupo is a full-service hotel and a prestigious brand to which Tile Warehouse was a major supplier.

Throughout the bathrooms, Tile Warehouse has used the high-quality double-loaded porcelain range, Milano Arctic matt 600×600mm on the floors and matching wall tiles, Milano Arctic polished 600×600mm. The use of the large sizes and light colouring creates a contemporary feeling of light and space in this very traditional building.

Throughout the kitchens and bathrooms, you will find the popular Milano Sand polished 300×600mm for both floors and walls from Tile Warehouse. The warmer, cream colouring suits the relaxed feeling of this addition.

Finally in all of the exterior areas, you will see the unique natural basalt tile, Black Nero flamed 400×600mm. Basalt is one of the oldest, hardest and strongest volcanic stones available, symbolising both strength and longevity. This material is just at home in a country farmhouse as it is seen here in a modern high rise apartment situation.
