African Fusion: A Celebration of Heritage and Hospitality at The Meat & Wine Co Barangaroo.
Design Partnership has seamlessly blended African heritage with the stunning Australian surroundings at The Meat & Wine Co Barangaroo. Our design concept goes beyond aesthetics, focusing on designing for behaviour and creating an unforgettable dining experience.
Drawing inspiration from various cultures, traditional architecture, and a touch of romance and nostalgia, we have crafted a space that embraces warmth and sophistication. Luxurious leather textures and exquisite wood detailing combine to create a modern and inviting atmosphere, complemented by the breathtaking backdrop of Sydney Harbour visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Natural light floods the restaurant, enhancing the ambience and providing captivating views of the water.
At the core of our design philosophy is the spirit of Ubuntu, emphasizing values of giving and sharing. This ethos is not only reflected in the menu but also in the layout of the space. Intimate dining areas cater to smaller groups, while larger spaces, such as our interpretation of a traditional African "Boma," invite guests to come together for memorable shared experiences.
The Meat & Wine Co Barangaroo is a testament to our commitment to merging African influences with contemporary design. It is a unique and inviting restaurant that offers a harmonious blend of flavours, ambience, and cultural richness. Join us and embark on a culinary journey that celebrates the spirit of togetherness and the beauty of African-inspired design.
Our studio specializes in design for behaviour.
We have done so for almost 30 years and in this time we have learned a tremendous amount about how people behave naturally and instinctively within these social environments. We have learned the hard way that in order to design successful venues, we needed to place predictive human behaviour at the heart of what we do. We capture succinctly how most people behave most of the time in order to design spaces for the most joy and ultimately the most success. This assists us in capturing the spirit of place.
