Exiting the elevator is like stepping into an underground lair

The TSB Showplace Theatre Royal Lounge welcomes guests into a plush, speak-easy basement location with an engaging use of colour, thoughtful curation of space and easy ambiance.

A careful study in colour has allowed the lounge to boldly host mix of tones of greens, pinks, blues and gold – and despite its basement location, these colors have an immeasurable role in the creation of light space. The feature along the southern wall brings an anarchist response to the glamour of the lounge. Posters of performers and past guests are plastered across the wall, creating a textural element which brings interest to the spot.

It’s suspended spherical lights, rich use of colour, fearless wallpaper and use of light-enhancing gold tables and counter-tops inevitably set the scene for socialites and theatre goers at the Royal.
