Project of Enviroplaz International LTD - Flagship Marine Floating Sales Office

"A showroom dedicated to the sale of Luxury power and sailing boats."

As this project is located full time on a floating building within the Westhaven Marina, using Aluplast windows and doors was an ideal solution for this project and ensured the longevity as the project required the highest level of corrosion protection and as a standard Aluplast used corrosion proof materials.

With toughened glass or laminated double glazed units, not only is there a vast security improvement compared to standard single glazing. These DGU's help protect against the elements from a hot summer day to a cold winter night.

Originally a 150 Tonne Barge was constructed by Polymer Engineering LTD, based in Auckland. The Barge was constructed using a highly specialized "Pluztuff" polymer Sheet, then the steel structure was elevated and encapsulated by the same material. The cladding on the outer walls is a composite timber looking plank.

The main challenge during the installation of this project, was the use of a standard building and leveling tool, since the installation of this project was completed on a floating building it was impossible to use this tool. Thus during the installation of the windows and doors used the geometry of the building.

All Windows and doors were constructed using IDEAL 2000 Aluplast Profiles:

  • 60 mm construction depth
  • Uw = 1.4 W/m²K with standard double-glazing with Ug = 1.1 and Psi = 0.040 W/mK
  • Uw=1.0 W/m²K best possible option with triple glazing with Ug = 0.6 and Psi=0.030 W/mK
  • Up to 43dB sound protection (sound protection class 4)

Customized specifically for this project, we provided these items in Anthracite Grey, with all hardware items to match for an aesthetically pleasing and modern finish.

About the
Professional

Warm Windows provides European-style double-glazing windows, made with globally recognised Aluplast uPVC systems. Aluplast is known for exceptional quality.

With more than 15 years of experience and having successfully completed a whopping 3000-plus projects, Warm Windows is a name you can trust. We quickly realised that awning windows and staking doors were becoming more popular in New Zealand, so we worked with our suppliers to create a product line-up that is uniquely suited to local conditions.

We’ve developed our own uPVC system that corresponds with New Zealand building code and installation procedures. The Kiwi market requires an extended warranty of 15 years on joinery profiles, so we work exclusively with top-quality components that are up to the task.

Our approach is simple; always build custom doors and windows. That’s the only way to ensure that the fit is perfect every time, for every house. Because each unit is fabricated individually, we can offer an extended list of design options and hardware configurations.

We have worked very hard to create a strong reputation in the New Zealand joinery market, not only for the quality of our double-glazed doors and windows but also for our terms of service. The best evidence we can provide is feedback from our customers. Feel free to check out our glowing reviews at No Cowboys.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
