Our Processes: Opticoat doors are made using the latest in automated door-coating technologies from Europe . The 16-phase process is fully automated from start to finish, to enable us to finely control each step of the process and ensure consistency from start to finish.

Styles: We have a door style for every home! All of our profiles are also customisable, so you can adjust them to suit your style.

Opticoat profiles are available in a large range of frame profiles and linear profiles – see the profiles tab for render images of each profile, and get in touch with us if you need a sample!

Edge Profiles: The edge profile plays into your overall design. In order to allow for endless options, you can choose from our edge profiles. Our most popular edge profile is 1.5mm radius – we would recommend this option for modern designs; however, if you’re after something more traditional, we’ve got you covered!

Check out page 10 of our Optidoor Brochure to see the edge profile options.

Please note: some edge profiles are not compatible with some door profiles due to physical limitations.

Door Thicknesses: The most common door thickness is 18mm; however, we also manufacture a lot of doors at 22mm. 22mm thick doors can be a great option to reduce bowing and give the door a little bit more support & space for your hinges.

Refer to page 12 in our Optidoor Brochure for more detailed information.

Many different factors can play into if a door would be likely to bow which are out of our control. We’re always happy to chat with you during the design process to help you choose the best option for your design! If you have any questions, please get in touch.

Door sizes: Our 18mm profiles are available up to 3100mm long. Our 22mm option is available up to 2775mm long.

Flexipanel: Most of our linear profiles are available as as a Flexipanel, suitable for using on curves, to match your doors! These are suitable for a 200mm radius or larger.

Important note for the cabinetmaker: use PVA glue to apply the panel to the full substrate backing. Do not use a solvent-based glue, as this can react & cause delamination.

Colours: With a range of 23 colours available, with a range of finishes like Satin, Texture, Woodgrain, Gloss and Matte. The matte surface is a new development internationally, which improved resistance. Check out the ‘colours’ tab for more information, or contact us for a colour sample.

Prices do vary across different colours and finishes, due to variation in the raw material prices, so we recommend quoting in the colour that you’re planning to use.

Application Types: Opticoat is available with a range of application types – from white melamine on the back (for doors or single sided panels), matching coating on back (ideal for coloured doors where you want a matching colour on the back), 100mm wrap (for fixed end panels where you only see the front edge and a little bit of the back) or variable wrap (where you need a deeper return on the back of the panel – such as open shelves or fridge panels).

Handles: We have 3 integrated handle options available – a profile handle (requires a backing rail in the cabinet), J Handle (no backing rail required, to give maximum drawer capacity) and Inset Handle (similar to the J Handle but with custom positioning.
