Wānaka Stone schist brings a taste of Central Otago to Queensland's Sunshine Coast
Wanting to bring a slice of New Zealand to their home, these Kiwi expats imported authentic schist stone to Mooloolaba. A local stonemason began the installation, but it soon became clear that achieving the desired finish required specialist expertise. Aidan Butler of Pembroke Schist travelled to Mooloolaba to complete the project, crafting the stone into a beautifully tight stack that perfectly showcases its natural texture and raw beauty. The result is a stunning feature that exceeded the clients' expectations.
