The Approach

For this project the client wanted to create a kitchen that could be fully closed up to look like a sleek piece of furniture.

We achieved this effect by creating one continuous back wall made of Vidaspace planked Oak, which cleverly disguised the sink station, fully integrated fridge freezer, Blum Space tower pantry  and doors into the office and pantry.

The concealed Tectus Hinges acted as a seamless and invisible fixing for each door. And behind the Hafele Hawa Concepta doors to the sink, hid a surprising pop of colour from the yellow backlit Perspex backsplash.

The stunning split level black island used a mix of both matt and gloss granites, and the flush mounted cooktop with downdraft extractor almost disappeared into the surface creating a sculpture-like feel to the island.

The whole kitchen was jam packed with hidden features-  from the doors on each side of the back wall, to granite-fronted drawers tucked under the island.  We even created a special niche in the living room to tuck away the TV.
