Black Door House banner

Sitting high and looking out over the ocean, this stunning award-winning architecturally designed house is built to enhance the environmental elements.

From the street the house is seen as three separate forms, the scale and height of the middle form, with its winged roof contrasts with the lightness of the floor to ceiling glazing. Exposed steel is used as a feature on both the interior and exterior.

MC Architecture Studio won the Modern Method of Construction category. Becoming the first NZ project to win any category at the World Architecture News Awards in London. This award champions projects using quality construction materials and energy efficient design, something we are passionate about.

About the
Professional

Our tight-knit team of 45 includes chartered engineers, structural, civil and geotechnical engineers, CAD technicians and outstanding support people - big enough to provide you with the expertise you need, small enough to look after you personally.

With offices in Christchurch, Auckland, Nelson and Queenstown, we work locally and internationally for clients ranging from residential landowners to large commercial developers, with award-winning expertise in steel, concrete and timber construction.

Our team believe that problems are solved and objectives are met when energy is put into the project right from project inception. Engco provides a safe pair of hands, with advice that ensures projects are thought-out and on track from the beginning with innovative solutions that benefit the client.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
