The house wraps itself around a West-facing walled courtyard which captures afternoon sun and maintains views through the living area to the river and reserve beyond. The house was raised 900mm above ground to tie in the two-story garage and guest room, but also so that the living areas would be high enough to benefit from panoramic views.
