The Healing Service is inclusive of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people throughout Victoria / Australia and has the widespread support of the Koori community.

The project is a 12-bed facility established in the southern outskirts of Melbourne and was the first service of its type in Australia.

The design expresses a sense of clarity in the planning and spatial relationships between the areas of the facility. It is a place of reflection and celebration, where spaces have been designed around a principle concept relating to the woven fabric of life. Appropriate spaces are revealed to settle visitor intrigue and elicit a feeling of warmth, protection and embrace.

About the
Professional

Since 1993, our creativity, expertise and experience have helped shape Victoria’s urban landscapes.

You’ll see our designs in healthcare, justice, education, science and many other industries throughout the state. That’s because at Vincent Chrisp Architects we know how to engage with our clients and design around their particular needs. Each project is different. Each design is unique.

What doesn’t change is our commitment to guiding our clients through the entire process, from idea to opening day.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
