The Brief
Our client set us a simple goal: to transform a steep, impractical and underused yard into a beautiful, fun and entirely usable garden for their young family.

Our Design Response
Through careful planning and construction, we created a series of new levels and spaces that ooze spaciousness and flow together effortlessly.

To add even more depth, we used an elegant palette of layered textures and colours. The warm tones of hand pitched sandstone, classic travertine stone and spotted gum timber offer a playful juxtaposition against the cool, muted tone of concrete. The colour scheme is made complete with lush green plantings and a pop of turquoise beckoning from the architectural pool window.

The sunken hardwood garden deck adds another element of interest, creating an exciting journey to the pool as well as providing a sense of intimacy, privacy and relaxation. The pool and deck are perfectly positioned to capture the shade and beauty of the statement Jacaranda tree. By night, the space takes on a hint of drama as it is illuminated by a modern yet eco-friendly lighting design – creating the perfect scene for an evening Summer soiree.

The results speak for themselves: a stunning garden that offers gorgeous views from inside the home, luring family and friends outside night and day – all year round.
