Contemporary chocolaterie integrated within a restored 4-storey heritage building in Perth, balancing modern design with historical elements to revitalize and repurpose a significant structure.
The Perth flagship Guylian store has integrated a sharp contemporary chocolaterie within a 4-storey State significant heritage building which was also restored.
The internal fit out “insertion” is uncompromisingly contemporary providing a clear definition of the new and the heritage components. Contemporary details and techniques create a balance with the Heritage aspects.
The result has proven to be very popular and most importantly reinvigorated an underutilised heritage item with a new purpose, appropriate to current expectations, for many years to come.
