Mall Redevelopment.

Situated on the North Shore of Auckland, Highbury Mall remains a renowned neighbourhood and community hub. With little love since its 1995 opening, Cottee Parker Architects were engaged to complete a staged transformation.

The conversion, delivered by Cottee Parker Architects, provides for the addition of a new F&B precinct to replace the dated and dying food court offer of yesteryear along with a transformational entertainment tenant, Livewire. The creation of this space was achieved through a staged ambience upgrade in conjunction with tenant changes which provide for the introduction of several larger food & beverage offers alongside a gastro pub offer opening out on a terrace to the north. Entry and vertical circulation was created from the carparking below to reach tenancy spaces in the brand-new look food offering. A north facing F&B tenancy with a covered exterior sundeck provides year round comfort for patrons and panoramic views of inland North Shore. The new entry to the north opens the centre to the main intersection providing a more coherent pedestrian connection throughout the centre, captivating locals to the new entertainment and food hotspot.
