Contemporary home designed for a downsizing family, featuring distinct living zones, a striking floating roof, and sustainable off-grid solutions, completed in 2023 for clients Barry and Poly.
Designed for a downsizing family, this home features distinct zones tailored to their needs. Sleeping, living, working, and playing pods are strategically positioned to maximize views of the natural surroundings. Compressed links separate each pod, enhancing the sense of light, space, and privacy. Both internally and externally, each pod is uniquely expressed, contributing to a clearly defined architectural composition. The main living space takes centre stage, crowned by a striking floating roof and expansive glazing. Sustainability is integral, with the inclusion of a 10kW solar array, backup generation, and battery storage, ensuring the home operates entirely off grid
