Riverbanks: A transformative inner-city regeneration project in Hamilton, featuring innovative architectural designs and successful resource consent applications for Stark Properties, including the award-winning Mezz box and a rooftop extension.
Inner-city regeneration projects are important to the life of Hamilton, and the Riverbanks project is a great example.
Feathers Planning have obtained a number of resource consents for Stark Properties for the re-birth of Riverbanks. Resource consents were procured for Riverbank Lane, the Mezz box (which in itself is an award winning piece of architecture and design), and the rooftop extension.
‘Right to light’ and various other easements were a challenge to navigate, as was convincing Council that the building was to have a large metal door added into the front façade, and that removing a part of the front verandah was a good idea.
The professionalism and the vision of the client and architects were second to none, and being part of that team was an unqualified highlight.
