Habitat Studio Architects recently completed the Sunbrite Residence in 2022. This contemporary luxury home features a natural material palette of stone, timber and concrete, and is designed to embrace the sub-tropical climate in which it is located.
The dwellings bulk and mass was pushed back into the site to create beautiful light-filled North facing courtyards and take advantage of views to the Broadbeach skyline. Vegetation was integral to the design, with wedges of the building mass carved out and vegetation veins penetrating the internal spaces. Rooftop and First Floor planters provide cooling vegetation, healthy living spaces and soften views from above.
The Sunbrite Residence features passive principles for light, energy and breeze, and its timeless architecture reflects the sub-tropical climate in which it is sited. The result is a luxurious, modern and comfortable home that performs where and how we live.
