The joint Swinburne-CSIRO National Industry 4.0 Testlab is a Research & Development facility with a pilot plant for a world-first process for additive manufacturing of carbon fibre composite materials at an industrial scale.

Vincent Chrisp Architects designed the new standalone facility to house a $30million Carbon Fibre 3D printer and associated research spaces on CSIRO's Clayton site within the Australian Manufacturing & Materials Precinct. Works included labs, offices, control room, storage and display areas.

About the
Professional

Since 1993, our creativity, expertise and experience have helped shape Victoria’s urban landscapes.

You’ll see our designs in healthcare, justice, education, science and many other industries throughout the state. That’s because at Vincent Chrisp Architects we know how to engage with our clients and design around their particular needs. Each project is different. Each design is unique.

What doesn’t change is our commitment to guiding our clients through the entire process, from idea to opening day.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
