Vaucluse House 02 banner

Located in one of the best streets in Vaucluse, in Sydney’s East, this original F. Glynn Gilling architectural masterpiece was built in the 1920’s. With some of the home’s features becoming dated, it was time for this property to be brought into the 21st century. The design, created by Smith and Tzannes Architects, successfully honoured the original Mediterranean features whilst incorporating all the mod cons expected in a house of this stature.

Enjoying three levels of Sydney Harbour views, the house is designed to capitalise on this backdrop, with an abundance of natural light and ventilation throughout. The property now boasts modern elements including curved steel, timber windows, engineered floorboards, a copper and tiled roof, Calcutta and Carrara marble, smart home technology and Internal Marmorino rendering. We called on our most experienced people to work on this project, and the level of workmanship combined with these features give this home the chic, high end feeling the address is worthy of.

The building works were completed in close collaboration with architects and designers to ensure the original, romantic ambiance of the house was retained; and the result is a spectacular Sydney home combining history and modernity perfectly.
