Carindale Contemporary, barn-reminiscent backyard extension in a suburban setting, designed for family and hospitality. In this project we were asked to work around a renovated, single storey 90’s-era home. Our scope included external landscaping, plus the addition of a barn (or fancy shed!) in the backyard. This is a double-storey space for entertaining and hospitality. Around this addition are interesting pockets of space for conversations, garden, or relaxation.

“H House Coolum 2019 Billy is an incredibly professional, talented and dynamic architect who was integral to the successful design and completion of our dream home. After literally sitting on our steep block for a few hours to get a feel for the area, he came up with unique and beautiful designs, perfectly oriented to maximise the view and morning sun. Billy values connecting spaces with the outdoors in order for the house to frame nature. This suited our personalities perfectly. We could not recommend Billy more highly. Working with him took the stress off us so that we could focus on what we needed to at the time. You are well looked after from beginning to end , as he can support you with as much as you need.”
