Flowpoint is mixed on-site with water and sets within 15 minutes, significantly reducing wait times.
A groundbreaking flowable grout is making waves in the Australian building and construction industry, offering an innovative solution that could change how specifiers and homeowners approach paving projects. Ultrascape's Flowpoint Rapid Set Grout sets to eliminate common challenges like lengthy set times, temperature sensitivities, and labour-intensive applications.
Engineered to set in mere minutes, Flowpoint boasts a strength greater than most pavers while accommodating expansive spacing between paving stones. Its rapid-setting properties and robust durability make it ideal for time-sensitive projects where deadlines are tight and performance is non-negotiable.
What makes Flowpoint stand out?
1. Versatile for all types of paving
Flowpoint is designed to fill the joints between various paving materials, including crazy paving, cobbles, granite, sandstone, limestone, porcelain, bluestone, travertine, and concrete slabs. It even works seamlessly with intricate designs like crazy paving and cobblestones, providing a smooth and efficient application process.
2. Speed and efficiency
Time is valuable in construction, and Flowpoint offers a straightforward and efficient application. Mixed on-site with water, the grout sets within 15 minutes at 20 degrees Celsius, significantly reducing wait times. Unlike traditional grouts that require manual sponging, Flowpoint simplifies the process with a hose-down application, cutting labour costs and effort.
“The best part is the completed area will be open to foot traffic in one hour, and vehicle traffic is permitted after just four hours,” says Simon Heyblok, Director of Prolific Stone International.

2. Stronger
Another great feature is its exceptional bond strength, which is shrinkage-compensated. Simon notes, “It has been approved for use on the London Underground and Overground because, at 25 MPa, Flowpoint is double the strength of the paving.”
3. Smarter
Flowpoint comes with a 100-millimetre gap allowance, making it economical and easier to use with crazy paving. “It’s ideal for large-scale projects and is available in two colour options: charcoal and natural grey with some mixing in white oxide to lighten it up,” says Simon.
La Mama Theatre restoration
The La Mama Theatre in Carlton, Victoria, was recently restored by Chroma Group builders with design by Meg White, showcasing the Flowpoint Rapid Set Grout in action.
“We worked alongside Greysea Group to complete a tight deadline on their landscape project, which was installing 110 square metres of recycled red bricks in a day,” says Simon. “Without Flowpoint, this wouldn’t have been possible.”
“Flowpoint grout significantly reduces labour time by half, making the installation more efficient. This faster cure time allowed the tradespeople to continue working without delays. Additionally, it became open to vehicle traffic in just four hours.”
"Ultimately, our goal was to source a product that improves the install speed and quality of our pavers," says Simon. "We’re thrilled to offer a product that combines form, function and unmatched performance."
Simon notes, “It’s been used in the UK for over 20 years and in Europe. So, it's tried and tested; there's no doubt about that. It's also used extensively in Dubai, so it can be used in hot weather, cold weather, and other applications.”
“We started out importing natural stone wall cladding and pavers, and now we seek to source the best quality products to ensure an end-to-end offering for resellers and builders around Australia.”
