HB690 170mm Sliding Door Privacy Lock – 55mm Backset

• Ideal for interior sliding or cavity sliding doors where privacy locking is needed (e.g., bathrooms). 
  • Suitable in both residential and commercial settings where a flush, minimal-projection hardware finish is desired.
  • Works with doors using the 55 mm backset dimension and minimum thickness of 38 mm; adapt with HB690/35 for thinner doors (35-37 mm).
  • Designed to provide privacy (snib) plus emergency release from outside — good for accessible washrooms or rooms where lockdown from inside is needed but external access is still possible.

Flush pulls are designed to be mounted with the body within the thickness of the door, and the face plate on the door surface – total projection is 2mm. Fully recessed mounting is possible on timber doors with the appropriate door thickness. Using glue, epoxy or silicone products etc to secure flush pulls to the door is not required or recommended for installation, and may void warrantee. Glue, epoxy, or silicone products can be used to secure the spindle bar to the back of the snib flush pull for example where sets have a flush pull to one side only.

HB 690 – Privacy Set with Snib Inside and Emergency Release Pull Outside
HB 692 – Snib In, Blank Out
HB 693 – Snib In, No Pull Out
HB 694 – Snib Pulls to Both Sides

  • Minimum door thickness: 38 mm (for doors 35-37 mm thick, use model HB690/35). 
  • Flush pull dimensions: approx 170 mm × 36 mm × 14-15 mm. 
  • Materials: Die-cast zinc body with brass and 316-grade stainless steel components. 
  • Suitable for timber or aluminium doors. 
  • Typical configuration: snib inside, emergency release flush pull outside.
