Timbalook® features the latest generation in melamine panels, combining the natural look and feel of a real timber into a durable door product that looks like the real deal.

When cabinetmakers and designers see this product, they often say, “I didn’t know that Sage Doors worked with veneer” – that’s how close to a natural timber these Timbalook doors look. Timbalook is your easy veneer alternative, being more scratch resistant, more colour-fast, more stain resistant and more environmentally friendly than a veneer.

With a realistic look and feel, no lacquering involved, consistent colour, hard & durable surface, Timbalook® provides you with the authentic veneer-look, at a cost-effective price.

Less of the stress. More of the good stuff. Easy, fast and consistent.

What makes our product Acrymatte®, not just another acrylic matte door?

The Surface: Acrymatte showcases a high quality acrylic surface made by Senosan – an  Austrian company recognized globally for producing durable and high quality acrylic laminates. This distinctive acrylic has a special hard coat on the surface, to ensure a quality matte surface on your doors.

The Substrate: The acrylic is pressed onto a moisture resistant, Carb2 (low formaldehyde – similar to E0 rating) MDF substrate from a leading MDF manufacturer in Europe. This high-quality MDF is made from 100% recovered wood – timber that would otherwise go to waste!

The Edge: We achieve a seamless transition between the panel’s face and edge by utilizing a matching laser edgetape from MKT, a German manufacturer of edgetape. With MKT’s Excellent Matte technology, the edgetape is created with a matte finish that matches that of the acrylic face, resulting in a consistent appearance for both the face and edge.

The Sizes: with large panel sizes available, up to 2775x1195m. Available in thicknesses of 18, 32, 36 and 60mm.

The Shapes & Angles: give you flexibility in your designs! Availability varies between colours, so check the color range tab for specific colours.

  • profile ‘shark nose’ handles
  • handle cutouts
  • shaped shelves
  • shaped doors
  • angled edges

The Trademark: Acrymatte® is manufactured exclusively by Sage Doors to ensure consistency and quality assurance. Acrymatte® is a registered trademark that encompasses our finished door products, consisting of the acrylic board, our special laseredge known as Invisedge®, and the Sage Door’s 3m philosophy.

Cleaning: As Acrymatte® is an acrylic laminate, cleaning it with a microfibre cloth or other non-natural fibers can increase the static in the product. Therefore, we recommend cleaning Acrymatte® using a cotton cloth along with the cleaning product that we supply with your doors.
This product has been specially formulated to reduce the static in the acrylic, reducing marks and dust on the surface.
Spray the cleaner onto the cloth (not the door) to avoid pooling on the bottom of your door. See our cleaning & care info in the downloads tab for more info, or get in touch if you have any questions.
