Take one piece of paradise, add a slice of sunny coastline, throw in a goodly dash of style and you have the recipe for Bangalay Luxury Villas! Surrounded by lush palms, a towering blackbutt tree, protected national parks, pristine waterways and abundant wildlife, the 16 villas, located in gorgeous Shoalhaven Heads, NSW, are designed to blend perfectly with the environment.

Owners, Michelle and Tom Bishop, were absolutely determined to create a sense of real connection between each and every one of the villas and the great outdoors. To achieve their ambition, they wasted no time selecting wow-factor expanses of glass in the form of floor-to-ceiling sliding doors in the villas and a massive six-metre opening in the on-site restaurant.

“The AWS systems worked perfectly for both situations,” says Michelle, adding that the representative from window-and-door manufacturer, Hanlons, contributed a number of great AWS solutions to support the couple’s vision. “We have worked with AWS on a number of previous projects and they are first to mind for us with any project requiring commercial aluminium sections. We also know Hanlons provide excellent customer service and after-sales support.”

Michelle’s husband, Tom, of Evolve Building Group, has cemented his reputation for craftsmanship with the use of superb exterior finishes. These include cantilevered concrete slab edge formwork that creates the illusion of the villas floating above the ground. On top of this, the project team opted for gorgeous, custom profile, ironbark cladding and steel. Together with lashings of glass and exceptional building design, these stunning features work beautifully with the natural surrounds. Mission accomplished!
