Dickson Rothschild are the urban designers for the redevelopment of the existing Club Willoughby site in the heart of Willoughby. The site is reimagined as a local mixed-use community hub comprising a new purpose-built club, shop top housing, shops, resort-style seniors living including independent living units and residential aged care. The keystone of the project is a new north facing public park and through site link, converting a private recreation zone into a public asset.

The design pushes all vehicles and servicing underground to create a safe, integrated, pedestrian friendly community core. Dickson Rothschild were particularly key in the community consultation phase and in directing the design to achieve increased density while maintaining compatibility with the low scale heritage conservation zone adjacent. The project has now been approved by the Sydney North Planning Panel. https://www.heartofwilloughby.com.au/
