The clients of this lovely home wished to update the interior of their bedrooms and living areas with fresh new paint colours and window treatments.

Considering the colours and styles of recently purchased sofas, chairs and persian rugs, we chose soft neutral tones for each space to compliment the beautiful designs chosen for drapes and roman blinds. They really enjoyed the process of choosing fabrics for each room, giving each space it's own individual style and going as far as giving each bedroom a name according to how it is decorated. The desired mood for the master bedroom was for a calm and restful space, which was achieved by choosing a fabric in soft shades of green and lavender on a neutral background, inspiring the client to choose a muted green, Resene Orinico, for the walls. The light filled spare bedroom is stunning with vibrant roman blinds in a bright coral poppy design. We chose blue for accents such as bedding and art, and the walls painted in Resene Pearl Lustre provide the perfect backdrop.

In the living areas, once again the colour of the new drapes inspired the fresh yet neutral paint colour, using Resene Parchment throughout. The beautiful linen drapes are in soft neutral shades with splashes of rust red and olive green in an abstract floral design, the drapes worked well with the existing furniture and furnishings, instantly updating the area yet in keeping with the traditional style of the home.
