Perched high above the captivating Lorne coastline in regional Victoria, this residential property presents awe-inspiring vistas of the Bass Strait. Such a remarkable location demanded meticulous research and planning when selecting the ideal building materials.

The brief was simple: Design a home that complements its stunning location, incorporating a high-performing facade that will withstand the harsh conditions of its surrounding environment.

Exposed to salt spray, intense sunlight, and nestled within a Bushfire Prone Area, the owners made the wise choice of using DecoClad for a significant portion of the house's exterior.

This solid aluminium cladding not only earned a BAL40 fire zone rating but also provided ample protection against salt spray and UV rays, thanks to its Super Durable DecoWood finish.

In addition to fulfilling this crucial criteria, DecoClad also checked the box for being a low-maintenance, timber-look product, effortlessly blending natural aesthetics with ease of care.

The DecoClad 'V-Groove' profile bestowed the finished project with a timeless, flush cladding appearance, while the DecoWood 'Weathered Timber' finish added a touch of modernity, perfectly complementing the neighboring gumtrees and serene ocean views
