Project team
Construction of Waterview Primary School, featuring innovative Danpalon cladding and a seamless connection to Stage 1 through a second-level walkway, completed in 2021 in collaboration with Brewer Davidson Architecture/Urban Design for the Ministry of Education.
Stryde was contracted to build the second stage of the overall project of building a new school in the Waterview area of Auckland. We needed to tie in stage 1 with the stage 2 building that we were at construction phase for. This link was done through a walkway on the second level. The building consisted of structural steel, concrete infills, aluminium and timber façade. A feature of the new classroom building was Danpalon cladding for the external look of the school. This product cane out from Europe and was the first project to use this particular product in the country. We also then flowed the new building into the existing play area and fields.
