C80mm External Venetians powered by Somfy J4RTS Motors provide shading and privacy to the exposed north-facing windows of this Weir St Project.
Cbus has been used on this project to control the movement of the external venetian blades and allow the aluminium blades to be programmed to rotate, open or close automatically when required. The external venetian blades can be retracted fully and concealed inside a custom-made hood box hiding them from view when retracted.
External venetians are a great way to improve energy efficiency especially in homes or offices with exposed north and west facing windows. External Venetian blinds are fully retractable allowing home owners the benefit of being able to take full advantage of any available thermal mass during sunny winter days. Rotating the venetian blades will give you control over the entry of the heat into your home or office during summer without completely blocking your view.
The addition of motorised sheer curtains and blinds provides this home with an added sense of drama. The Weir House is the perfect example of how our SOM Binds team solutions consider function as well as design when it comes to window furnishings.
