A stylish four-home residential enclave in Green Bay, blending design sophistication with urban functionality, completed in 2024.

In the leafy suburb of Green Bay, a quiet corner site has been reimagined into a stylish, four-home residential enclave that blends design sophistication with urban functionality. Consented under the Mixed Housing Suburban zone, the project replaces a single outdated dwelling with four architecturally designed, two-storey homes – two standalone and two attached – each offering four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and internal garaging.

From concept to completion, the project was meticulously led by a collaborative team dedicated to maximising the site’s potential while respecting the character of the neighbourhood. Engaging with client objectives early on, the team delivered bespoke architectural designs that responded to site conditions, planning constraints, and market demands. Construction followed a tight, strategically staged timeline, ensuring seamless coordination from demolition to delivery.

A key challenge was integrating density within a suburban context. This was addressed through varied building setbacks, modulation of form, and thoughtful materiality – horizontal and vertical weatherboards, longrun metal roofing, and soft-toned garage doors that harmonise with spouting and fascia. Vegetation was retained where possible, and privacy between dwellings was carefully managed with permeable fencing and landscaped buffers.

Inside, the homes exhibit a calm modernity – high quality finishes, elegant joinery, north-facing balconies, and well-lit interiors that prioritise comfort and style. Energy efficiency and liveability were front-of-mind, with excellent natural ventilation, ample storage, and well-designed outdoor living areas.

This revitalisation not only delivered a high return on investment but created four warm, inviting homes that elevate the standard of suburban living in Green Bay. Construction completed in six months.

“TDG Development Co. is proud to have partnered with BCG Construction on a seven-townhouse build in Te Atatu Peninsula. The project was completed ahead of schedule and the workmanship is absolutely the best we have seen in the NZ building industry. The project team including Jacob, project manager Eric and site manager Adrian and Sean are all very experienced and carry the highest standard of work and attention to detail. We would not hesitate to recommend BCG Construction for small or large jobs and look forward to working with the team again in our next project.”
