Highview Terrace House has been designed to take advantage of the stunning Queenstown views as well as create an intimate sheltered outdoor entertaining area. The house has a linear arrangement of spaces that wrap around a central courtyard. Many of the rooms have an asymmetric layout that maximises views and sunlight.
The external cladding is vertical black stained cedar, contrasted with precast concrete panels that also have a wood grain texture. The master bedroom is on the second floor and provides the occupants with panoramic views over Lake Wakatipu.
The living rooms are located at the Northern end of the building, allowing stunning views of The Remarkables. A feature of the entry space is the welcoming double-sided fireplace. The house is currently used as a holiday retreat with the intention of it becoming a permanent residence for the owner.
