Stratford Ave Multi Gen

The development at Stratford Avenue in Milford exemplifies smart design, construction efficiency, and thoughtful execution. The client’s objective was to create a high-quality, multi-generational residential development on a compact 931sqm site – balancing future-proof design with cost-efficiency. The result is six architecturally designed homes in two blocks: two three-level, four-bedroom homes with private lifts at the front, and four two-level, three-bedroom homes at the rear.  Several challenges arose during construction – resolved a major drainage discrepancy discovered on-site, rerouting stormwater systems while remaining fully compliant. On a tight budget, applied smart cost-engineering – raising floor levels to reduce earthworks and replacing a structural stair post with a cantilevered design for greater space and light. Completed in just 10 months, this efficient build not only reduced financing costs but also delivered a future-ready development that has been well received by both the market and the local community.
