Newcastle Road

A tinted frameless glass balustrade solution engineered to hold a clean architectural line across a sloped, multi-material deck perimeter. Aish Developments' multi-unit project on Newcastle Road, Hamilton called for a balustrade that would read as sharp and contemporary while cutting glare from the afternoon sun. Opal Glass, an authorised UNEX fabricator, specified the UNEX Arena Points Frameless Glass Balustrade with tinted glass to meet the brief. The site brought its own complications: a deck perimeter built across multiple materials, and an elevated, sloping layout that made handling large frameless panels more difficult than a standard install. Opal Glass worked through both without bringing in additional contractors, keeping the fixing line consistent across the full run. The finished balustrade delivers unobstructed views with reduced glare, and Aish Developments has cited the result as a strong fit for the development's overall design.
