The motor is connected to the rangehoods by flexi ducting that sits in the eave of the roof. The motor is controlled by a lead that plugs from the hood to the motor. By doing this, there are advantages over an on-board motor, being:
Things to consider when choosing your Amore
Type of Cooking
What type of cooking will you be doing? If you use you cooktop all the time and do frying on the cooktop then we suggest a more powerful motor like the Amore 1600 or Amore 3200. If it’s just normal usage, then the Amore 900 should be fine.
Hood Dimensions
What size hood are you looking to install? When you are choosing a larger hood like a 900mm or 1200mm wide hood, then you will need more airflow and suggest installing either the Amore 1600 or Amore 3200. If it a 600mm wide hood a Amore 900 should be fine.
Motor Distance
How far should the hood be from the motor? We recommend a distance of around 5 metres; any further than this, and you lose airflow, which will cause the system to work less efficiently.
What size EX-Drive motor should I install?
Choose the right motor size based on your kitchen layout and cooking style. Larger motors offer higher extraction power, making them ideal for spacious kitchens or heavy-duty cooking, while compact motors suit smaller spaces and everyday use.
Where should I install the EX-Drive motor?
Select the ideal mounting location for your Ex-Drive Motor. Depending on the motor size, IsoDrive motors can be installed on roofs, walls, or eaves.
What width should my rangehood be?
Ensure the rangehood is the same or greater width than the cooktop. This is to capture the smoke and steam generated from the cooktop.
What depth should the overhead cabinet be?
When installing an undermount rangehood into overhead cabinetry it is important to consider the depth of cabinet and the position of the rangehood in the cabinet.
The wider the overhead cabinetry the better, the hood can capture the smoke and steam created by the cook top.
Also important is to position the hood towards the front of the cabinet, which will create a better suction area for the smoke and steam to be capturedby the hood.
What is the recommended height between cooktop and rangehood?
It is important to make sure your rangehood is between the minimum and maximum heights from the cooktop.
The maximum height guaranties the rangehood can capture all the smoke and steam generated at the cooktop.
The minimum height makes sure that heat from the cooktop is safe to enter the rangehood.
