“The design is centred around highlighting the breathtaking views that the gym offers,” explains Alex, Sales Consultant of Technogym.
Alex was head of curating the space, ensuring the gym’s features reflected the luxurious feel of the hotel. Each piece was carefully selected to meet the requirements of guests and the 24-hour open gym, whether they’re searching for a quick early morning yoga class or an intensive HIIT session in the late hours of the evening. “Our goal was to curate a balanced offering of strength and cardio equipment to deliver a full-body workout experience, significantly expanding the variety from what was previously available.”

One of the chosen additions is the Technogym Visio, making JW Marriott Auckland one of the first hotels in New Zealand to feature this specific piece. State-of-the-art technology that brings hundreds of personalised workouts and thousands of exercises at the press of a button.
“The Technogym Visio functions as a virtual personal trainer, integrating seamlessly with all Technogym equipment. This layout was thoughtfully designed to maximise both functionality and guest engagement, ensuring that every workout feels tailored and accessible.”
Kinesis Personal | Resistance Station
A chic, sleek way to get an all-over workout without needing to stretch yourself across the room, the Kinesis Personal was the perfect way to add an all-in-one piece to the fitness room. Designed with FullGravity™ Technology to enable tri-dimensional movements as comfortably as possible and a Kinesis Virtual Trainer to allow access to on-demand guided workouts, this piece was an essential way to give guests access to 24/7 workouts.
“The Kinesis is our ‘wow’ piece, perfectly aligning with the JW Marriott brand by combining cutting-edge fitness with elegant design. Its sleek, minimalist look embodies the luxurious hotel, with the gym facility designed to captivate guests from the moment they step in,” says Alex. “It was placed at the front of the gym to ensure that guests are immediately greeted with an impressive piece of equipment that embodies the sophistication of both Technogym and the JW Marriott brand.”
Technogym Bench | Workout Bench
The Technogym Bench is a sleek, versatile workout solution designed with built-in storage full of training gear from elastic bands to hexagon dumbbells and weighted knuckles—everything you need for a complete, all-in-one workout experience. Offering over 200 exercises and guided sessions, it was another great addition to the space that would meet the 24-hour gym requirements.
