Christchurch Eye Surgery banner

This building has been designed as a surgical centre for ten ophthalmologists, all of whom have their own consulting rooms. The building consists of pre-operation and post-operation areas; anaesthetic block bays and two full-sized identical operating theatres. The surgery also houses support areas for the theatre such as sterile storerooms, instrument washing and sterilisation rooms as well as other support facilities for the surgeons. The building has been designed as a series of sculptural forms, clad in cedar, carefully detailed to reflect its interior functions

About the
Professional

Wilson & Hill Architects are committed to providing architecture of
a high calibre. We are driven by a consistent philosophical approach, not a predetermined style. We embrace modernist architecture, striving to produce clean, spacious and light designs.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
