Farmhouse

Our clients’ dream was to build a large country home that was evocative of American style farmhouses.  The design for ‘Woodlands’ created multiple living spaces that could accommodate a growing family.  There are two separate wings at either end of the building with a large open plan kitchen, living and dining area at the centre.

The exteriors are a mix of materials including vertical board and batten cladding with reclaimed brickwork that combine to create a striking façade.  Inside, high ceilings lined with VJ board bring a bespoke element to the core living areas.  A high level of interior finishes was a key component of this build with oversized timber doors and flooring, as well as custom fixtures and fittings creating beautiful interiors.

We love the expansive feel of this house, as well as how the separate and combined living spaces are so functional.  It’s a great example of how a strong, simple design can be wonderfully elevated by getting the details right.
