Ascot Framed Balustrades as a Facade Feature for an Award-Winning Stonefields Development
UNEX's Ascot Framed Balustrade used as a facade element on a 60-apartment Stonefields development, cited by name in the building's architecture award.
Verto Apartments sits within the Stonefields development in Mt Wellington, Auckland, completed in 2018 as a joint venture between Todd Property Group and Fletcher Residential, with Warren & Mahoney as architect. The building holds 60 one- and two-bedroom apartments and carries a yellow-banded facade treatment down one side.
UNEX's Ascot Framed Balustrade was used as part of that facade treatment, and the design was singled out in the NZIA's 2017 Auckland Architecture Award for its "utilitarian building element in an engaging facade treatment."
Verto marked the second project UNEX had delivered with Warren & Mahoney, and one of three developments completed with Todd Property Group, alongside the ilico and Bellus Apartments.
