“It started with a gut feeling,” Simon reflects on starting Prolific Stone. “I saw a gap in the market for real service [not just selling stone], for helping people through the whole process. I’d been around the building and landscape supply game long enough to know what was missing: care, consistency and genuine customer relationships.”

From day one, the company has prioritised each project as if it were its own. “We’ve never been about quick wins or cutting corners,” says Simon. “Whether we’re supplying 20 or 200 square metres, our standard stays the same.”

Simon remarks that the team handpick every product. “If we wouldn’t use it ourselves, we won’t sell it. That’s non-negotiable.” This commitment to quality control certainly sets the foundation for a solid brand and reputation in Australia.

Prolific Stone distinguishes itself from competitors with its holistic approach to business. “We’re not just a stone yard,” says Simon. “We're a team that actually partners with builders, landscapers and designers, and that means helping them make selections that suit the specs of the job, making sure our stock levels match real project timelines, and providing custom fabrication, technical support, and delivery solutions that keep builds moving along.”

Exceptional stone, memorable service

Recently, Prolific Stone relocated to a new headquarters. Simon remarks, “We’re scaling our level of service without sacrificing quality.” This new facility is a strategic move for the supplier to improve both operational efficiency and customer support for the brand moving forward.

According to Simon, service is essential to the overall customer experience. “Stone is stone. But service is what people really remember,” he says.

Understanding the pressures faced by builders, Prolific Stone aims to simplify the process for them. “Builders are under pressure. Deadlines, client expectations, site headaches, it’s a real pain. So we make it easier. We know our products inside out, and if something’s not right, we fix it. We don’t disappear after the invoice, and that’s what sets us apart.”

This dedication to ongoing support means clients receive superior products alongside some peace of mind throughout their projects. “We’re a good fit for people who care about the outcome,” says Simon. “Multi-res builders, architects, and serious renovators, all those who want a long-term partnership, not just volume.”

Looking ahead, Simon is enthusiastic about the possibilities in the future for the company. “The new HQ is a big milestone for us. It’s more than a warehouse, it’s designed as a hub for innovation, service and supply. We’re also deepening our partnerships and expanding our capacity for custom solutions.” A foresight that will surely position Prolific Stone as a quality supplier and innovator for those high-end briefs and luxury projects.

Simon and his team at Prolific Stone are becoming a household name in natural stone solutions, a brand that’s synonymous with quality and respected for customer service to the Australian building and landscaping industry.
