As kitchens continue to merge with living and dining spaces, the most successful appliances are often the ones that disappear.

BORA’s latest evolution of the BORA X Pure responds to this shift, bringing cooking and extraction into a single, integrated surface. By removing the need for a traditional overhead rangehood, the system supports cleaner sightlines, greater planning freedom and a more seamless relationship between kitchen and living space.

The update introduces a new matte black finish, designed to sit quietly within contemporary interiors. Its deep black Schott glass surface has a soft-touch texture that complements pared-back material palettes, while helping to conceal fingerprints and fine marks from everyday use.

While the design language is deliberately restrained, the performance remains highly considered. Vapours and odours are drawn downwards at the source, supported by an activated charcoal filter system, intuitive touch controls and flexible induction zones that can be combined for larger cookware.

For designers and homeowners, the appeal lies in what the appliance makes possible. Open-plan kitchens without the visual interruption of a suspended rangehood, and spaces where cooking, entertaining and everyday living can happen with greater ease.
