‘The Power of 3’: A smarter approach to whole-home comfort

Responding to this shift, Mitsubishi Electric has introduced The Power of 3, a premium whole-home comfort solution that combines three technologies into a single, integrated system: Mitsubishi Electric Ducted Heating or Cooling, ZoneIQ Temperature Zone Control, and Lossnay Heat Recovery Ventilation.
A closer look at The Power of 3
At the heart of the system is the Mitsubishi Electric Ducted Heat Pump providing quiet, discreet heating or cooling through vents in each room. Lossnay Heat Recovery Ventilation adds the fresh air component, bringing in filtered outdoor air while removing stale, damp indoor air. “Unlike traditional ventilation that focuses on taking air from the attic space, our technology has the added benefit of heat recovery, taking the warmth from the outgoing stale damp air and using it to pre-warm the incoming fresh air.”
Mitsubishi Electric’s new ZoneIQ adds individual room temperature control*, allowing different areas of the home to be managed more precisely. As Trish explains, “We’ve developed our own zone control, specifically designed to work with a Mitsubishi Electric ducted system. This gives you true, individual temperature control in all the individual rooms or zones.” Whether it’s adjusting the cooling in different rooms in summer, or finding the right level of warmth for each family member in winter, it’s technology that enables personalisation and total control. Combined with Mitsubishi Electric Wi-Fi Control, every space can be adjusted remotely via smartphone.

This integrated solution can be incorporated into new residential projects, as well as renovation and retrofit applications where there is suitable roof space. “If you've already got a Mitsubishi Electric Ducted System in your home, then you can retrofit ZoneIQ as well,” says Trish, allowing homeowners to enhance the functionality of their existing system without a total replacement.
For architects and designers, The Power of 3 presents real opportunities, especially if considered earlier in the design process. “Too often, the mechanical systems are considered at the end of the project. The earlier architects engage with heating, cooling and ventilation requirements, the better integrated the solutions can be.”
Early planning allows full optimisation of roof space, grill placement and system layouts while maintaining architectural intent.
