Winter warmer: the timeless allure of a wood fire

Based in the heart of Auvergne, a bucolic area in rural France, Seguin Duteriez fireplaces have been producing some of the most sought-after luxury fireplaces for over three decades. Manufactured with 100% original pure cast-iron and engineered by artisans, Seguin fireplaces are renowned for both their durability and superior heating output.

Serving as both a functional heater and a beautiful centrepiece, the Seguin Multivision 8000 Double-Sided Cheminee fireplace transports timeless French craftsmanship and inimitable style to Australian living rooms. Differentiating itself from other fireplaces, all Seguin fireplaces boast an average cast-iron thickness of 10mm, as opposed to the conventional 4-6mm. This allows Seguin fireplaces to retain heat long after the fire has been extinguished, lending them to use on long winter nights. All Seguin cast-iron fireplaces come standard with a damper, air-wash system, fire grate, and ash pan. Their high-quality raw material also provides a 10-year guarantee for their fireboxes.

With double-sided viewing glass and swing doors, the Seguin Multivision 8000 DS combines traditional cast-iron construction with contemporary aesthetics, connecting the indoors to nature. A key element of modern fireplace appeal lies in its installation. Flames are no longer relegated to the hearth, with the Seguin Multivision 8000 DS able to be inbuilt as a room divider or as a freestanding fireplace.

Showcasing the fireplace being used in the latter way is an installation in Moonah, Tasmania which is home to a family of three. The living room features the Seguin Multivision 8000 DS in pride of place, with the functional heater serving double duty as a chic centrepiece.

Designed to act as the new heart of the home, Seguin fireplaces can be as obvious or innocuous as desired. Their sleek, clean lines can be complemented by rammed earth or concrete walls and contemporary decor, or tightly concealed within classic exposed brick.

Amalgamating beautiful design and traditional functionality within a single appliance, the Seguin Multivision 8000 DS Cheminee fireplace brings the comfort and ambience of a roaring fire to both residential and commercial spaces.
