More than a showroom, it’s a purpose-built architectural studio, based in Newmarket, where inspiration, material exploration and technical specification come together in one considered, design-led environment.

Tiles change the experience of a space. The shape, the colour, the texture. Choosing them should also be an experience: one where materials can be touched, compared and seen shifting under different light.

In the heart of Newmarket, Architectural Surfaces by Tile Warehouse has created a space designed for exactly this. A space that’s more than a traditional retail showroom, it’s a dedicated architectural studio where designers and architects can collaborate, explore options and move confidently into specification.

“Newmarket was the natural choice for our bespoke architectural studio, placing us in the heart of a design-led precinct where many of our clients are already based. While we’ve long supported the area through our mobile architectural sales team, establishing a dedicated physical presence allows us to better service the local market, providing a space to experience our latest collections, materials and innovations firsthand,” shares Charles Hendricks, Commercial Manager at Tile Warehouse

The visitor journey has been intentionally curated to mirror the way architects and designers think and specify. It begins in immersive gallery zones, fully tiled concept spaces that showcase complete material narratives and allow visitors to experience scale, texture and tone in a resolved architectural context. From here, the journey transitions to a premium slab and large-format porcelain gallery, highlighting the impact of surface and scale across walls, floors and joinery. The showroom also has first access to samples of incoming arrivals fresh from Europe, and natural stone options available.

Lining the perimeter, fully stocked material drawers provide access to the broader Tile Warehouse range, making it easy to pull samples, test combinations and refine palettes.

A dedicated consultation space is also part of the experience. Centred around a large table for easy collaboration with a screen for visualising products within project imagery and an adjacent mosaic library to finalise detailed selections, it means the full journey from inspiration through to specification can start and end here.

“Clients can pick and choose their concepts in store for their full specification, from group housing through to high-end commercial projects,” says Charles, whether it’s the products currently shaping many architectural and interior projects such as modular tile formats and porcelain designs, the latest European designs, or something entirely different. “We also have a loft area with engineered timber flooring options and carpet options to provide other flooring options where porcelain tiles aren’t in use.”
