Homes that make the most of their beautiful views

Sitting peacefully in the wild Tamar Valley, Darkwood is a model of simplicity and tactility. Constructed using robust, sustainable materials, the house sits within the surrounding landscape rather than interrupting it. The result is a home that encourages its occupants to live at one with nature, rather than disconnected from it. Darkwood reflects utility – a folded roof lets the light flood in, while deep windows and a sheltered courtyard open to the valley beyond, from within the safety of the home.

Andy’s House was designed with a clear intention in mind – to showcase the property’s glorious views of Mount Coolum. An expansive view of surrounding bushland can be glimpsed throughout the home, thanks to its elongated design and northeast orientation. The use of corrugated iron and rammed earth effortlessly assimilates the home into its rural context.

Resting atop a hill, a sunken living room in this incredible home positions occupants at horizon level, drawing the gaze outwards across the rolling hills.

Thinking Paddock House was built with a personal connection to place at its heart. The home features a sweeping verandah and large windows throughout, resulting in a living space that doubles as a viewing platform for the Derwent River and Mount Wellington.

A rare and breathtaking coastal setting informed the design of Great Ocean Road Residence which sits on a cliff overlooking the vast ocean beyond. An expansive glass wall on the ocean side allows uninterrupted views out across the bright blue water. The house is designed to withstand the fierce coastal climate whilst sitting seamlessly within it.
